As we all know starcomm is one of the best Internet services provided in Nigerian, i have been using them for so so many Years now, and they have been giving me the speed i require
i have been using the 100hours data plan, and i decided to change it to Always Ren, changing to Always Ren gave me lots of problem, because each packages has its own code. i checked there website, just to get the code, But what i saw was nothing, I had no choice than to email then, in the next few hours , i receive all there latest Tariff Plan Code...

Find process to activate your data access using recharge cards on Starcomms phone.
Simply send the following “string” e.g. *249*07028000123*1234# as SMS to 37938 {this is *offer code*data device number*PIN (default PIN of the Starcomms handset is 1234) #}. Note for 1x there would be no 0 (zero) used. The pre-defined codes for each of the 1x and EVDO

You can make payment through our online recharge payment portal or the web portal renewal using a debit card. (presently only Interswitch cards).  
You would need to create an online account by visiting our web portal at www.starcomms.com.

For Voucher Payment:
Once you are registered you will receive a password through email, now you can access the payment portal by entering your user name in the space provided under Data Payments and click on the “VOUCHER PAYMENT” button. You will be taken to the online payment system (e-wallet),

1.       Wherein you can check the recharge balance (airtime) available on the data card (this is not be confused with the data subscription status)
2.       If the available e-wallet balance is less than the value of the subscription package being renewed, the e-wallet of the data device can be topped up using recharge cards.
3.       On sufficient balance being available on the e-wallet, you can now recharge your data device by clicking on “renew data package” link on the same page.
4.       Here you are shown the present package the device is currently on then below, the choices of the available subscription packages are shown.
5.       You can choose the renewal package desired and the amount against that data package would be deducted from the e-wallet and your data device will be renewed against the desired plan.
 For Online Debit Card Payment:
Once you are registered you will receive a password through email. Now you can access the payment portal by entering your user name in the space provided under Data Payments and click on the “Debit pay/ self care” button. You would be taken to the self care page, wherein you need to choose the pay online link. On choosing the pay online link, you would be transferred to a page which gives you,

1.       An option to renew on the current package subscribed.
2.       Renew on a different package.
3.       If you are renewing on the existing package, you need to click on the pay button and you are transferred to the interswitch payment portal, wherein you key in your debit card number & PIN, and your account is debited for the value specified and your data subscription is renewed.
4.       If you opt for a different package, the link gives you the different options available and the value against each of the options. On selecting the subscription package required, please click on the pay button. Your account is transferred to the interswitch payment portal, wherein you key in your debit card number & PIN. Your account is debited for the value specified and your data subscription is renewed.

  1. I am an old customer of Starcomms. I started using their internet modem using the Nokia phone modem many years back. I have used modems coming out like Starcomms Neo, Flexi, Slim etc.

    My only advice to the management is that it should be proactive by being customer-friendly in the pricing decision. More competing providers are reducing price and giving more values. For example, I make use of 250hrs (Slim) which I do pay N15000 for. At present, I am seriously considering switching to another provider that will give me more value even at reduced price; that is 300hrs for N13000. Starcomms should wake up fast before their loyal customers switch loyalty.
