Wikipedia is an internet encyclopedia, where you can get lots of information, on any project you are searching for. It’s an open content, which give you the access of using any information you found on Wikipedia, assuming you follow their Copyright Rules

Access Wikipedia offline on your Computer
Did you ever want to take Wikipedia with you while you are offline , then this tutorial is specially written for you….
this Tutorial title, sound funny, but trust me it’s not, because this tutorial am about to write have been using over a year now, can you now see it’s not funny,
Accessing Wikipedia offline is very mush possible with the help of many legal software.. but am going to give you the tutorial on the aspect of the one am currently using called WIKI TAXI
just follow the steps and you will be there…
1-visit WIKI TAXI Website www.wikitaxi.org  download  wiki taxi it should be it a zip file, the file is not mush it’s about 2mb

2- after download wiki taxi, what will need now is called Wikipedia backup, you don’t need to ask yourself  “Where am I going to get that”  when you know am here with you now go to http://dumps.wikimedia.org/
you can find lots of Wikipedia, backup here, you need to download one, just look for the date, so that you can download the latest one, am downloading the one of ENGLISH and which is about 25mb, I love using the high version of 2gb, because it also display image….now after downloading this lets head offline

3- Extract the one of wikitaxi you downloaded first, open a folder any where you want on your pc and extract it inside the folder, you should see something like the image below

 

4-  Now click on WikiTaxi_Importer in the folder you just extracted, what we are trying to do now is install the backup we download in step 2 you should see like the image below,

the first browse select the file you downloaded in step 2 on the second browse just type the name you want to save with, I use wiki.. now click on import, wait some few minute while the file is imported successfully

5-now this is the last,all you have to do is open the wiki taxi, you should see something like the image below

 if you follow the steps details above very well just offline Wikipedia should be working very fine, you can save all the file in a pen-drive, (flash) so that you can use it even when you are not on your computer....
